Mocktail season is in full effect for mommas this summer. I mean, so are cocktails but if you’re pregnant, breast feeding or simply needing a nice nonalcoholic refreshing drink by the pool (my dream), a mocktail can help to spice up your summer day. I like to keep it super simple because, when it comes to cocktails and mocktails, we can definitely go overboard with the sugar content. I like my drinks sweet, but this little recipe takes about two minutes, is subtle with the sweetness and has a touch of sour thanks to the citrus. I am not sure if you have stumbled upon Bubly sparkling water but it is just the right touch of flavour without adding a bunch of carbs to your count.
All you need is a sparkling water, I went with the Grapefruit flavour because I wanted to keep with the citrus theme. I am not a huge fan of sparkling water, so I make myself love it by adding fresh fruit. For this mocktail, I freshly squeezed an organic orange and it did not disappoint. The perfect amount of sweetness and so refreshing!
