Yesterday was Small Business Saturday & it got me thinking… ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the most part, I was looking at this cute little face & feeling grateful. I started this small business because of her & for her. When you become a parent, so many of your priorities shift. In those shifts, it is easy to loose yourself in the new momma role. I have always found myself in creativity & that is where this business began. Continuous inspiration from my mini, to not only create, but be better. She has one of the biggest hearts out of anyone I know, she is kind, nurturing & inquisitive. I learn from her each & every day. On difficult days when I feel like nothing is going quite right, I try to remind myself, even if this little business stays very, very little, that is okay. I was able to make bows for my beautiful babe & share this simple joy with other Mommas & women alike.
I also need to mention this amazing shift of women creating small businesses while on mat leave (& in general). Let’s be completely transparent, mat leave is no leave at all. It’s the hardest job there is, so don’t get this confused. In saying that, don’t be hard on yourself if you did not create a side hustle or if you did and it has been a challenge. We put so much pressure on ourselves with the comparison game, guilt & fear of other people’s perceptions of us. Let’s proud of ourselves for raising good little humans, (hopefully) nurturing ourselves, and conquering anything that comes our way. Whatever your path, just know that you are amazing, Momma! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

Also, a huge thank you to my bestie @katiecrewe for supporting my small business & always being my cheerleader in literally every single idea I have.. and always providing sound advice on the not-so-logical ones too 🙈
